Below is a copy of the email sent to us from the American Naturopathic Medical Association. Please act now while you can, we stand on the verge of losing a great resource for health and information. With your voice you have an opportunity to stand up and remind them just who put them in office and who can take them right back out. We can do this if we do it together!

Dear Member,

Now is the time to contact your representatives! This discriminating legislation would deny your right to practice natural healthcare as a naturopath and if any of these bills pass the only thing you’ll receive is a “cease and desist” notice.

The key provision of these bill requires that to be licensed, you must be a graduate of a “medical” naturopathic college. The only schools that qualify will be National, Bastyr, Southwest, and a Canadian college. ANMA does not believe a small special interest group should control naturopathic education and licensing. ANMA does not believe these graduates are any more qualified than you to practice naturopathic medicine.

It is important that you contact the representatives, as soon as possible. There is information available (such as the representative’s name in your area, as well as the bill text)at the links listed above then follow the bill search prompts. Urge your representatives to vote NO as it violates your freedom to practice as well as the public’s right to choose. If you can meet with your representatives in person that would be helpful.

Together we can protect Naturopathy from falling victim to special interest legislation and maintain the freedom to practice our profession. If you need more details call ANMA.
